GREENVILLE REVITALIZATION CORPORATION RECEIVES GRANT FROM PALMETTO PRIDE for the GREENVILLE TEXTILE HERITIAGE PARK

The Greenville Revitalization Corporation (GRC) received a $4,959 grant from Palmetto Pride to sponsor purchase and install trash receptacles along the
Mill Walk Trail and by the Childrens Playground at the Greenville Textile Heritage Park in the Monaghan Community.

Steven Bryant, GRC Board Chairman stated: “The Textile Heritage Park is beginning to be found by residents and visitors alike. As its use continues to grow and improvements continue to be made, we want to make the experience more enjoyable for the visitors and environmentally friendly for the park and surrounding community. The addition of these new trash receptacles will accomplish both objectives. We look forward to partnering with Palmetto Pride and other organizations to create a great park that will preserve the history of the Textile industry and the people who helped build Greenville,”

PalmettoPride is South Carolina’s anti-litter and beautification Non-Profit organization created by the legislature to fight litter and keep our state clean, green and beautiful. Through numerous programs and events it aims to educate the public on the impacts of litter to help prevent it, enforce the current litter laws, bring awareness to the issue, and encourage and empower groups to take ownership of their communities to pick up.
