At the beginning of 2018, GRC plans to officially break ground on a new park. Once completed, the park will pay homage to Greenville’s once-thriving textile mills and introduce a new generation of visitors to the industry that put Greenville on the map.
Specific features of the park will include a small museum, an event center, a children’s playground, an outdoor classroom, a community garden and walking trails. GRC will also work to restore a stream which marks one of the park’s boundaries and is a tributary of the Reedy River. The park’s signature feature will be a mill walk with 13 alcoves devoted to the various mills that gave Greenville the title, “Textile Capital of the World.”
You can help with the construction of the mill walk and alcoves by purchasing a brick! Each brick includes 2-3 lines of copy and can be dedicated according to the purchaser’s choosing. With the holiday season fast approaching, a brick donation is a perfect gi

ft idea. Give your family and friends the special gift of becoming a permanent part of Greenville’s history. Stay tuned as we continue with the development of the park!
